That means that, given the tools, we can learn to cope with modern pressures. We can even learn to decide how we react to problems both physically and emotionally. Serenity isn’t about sitting contemplating your navel with a blissful expression on your face. Serenity is about the absence of stress. Once you learn to free your mind of the useless and often harmful “chatter” of anxiety, anger, judgement, fear and frustration, then you can start to use that energy and “brainpower” constructively, creatively and practically.SERENITY VS BOREDOM?Serenity is not boring. A state of serenity is perfectly compatible with laughter, love, fun, frolics, rock’n’roll, Beethoven, playing rugby or a good night out. SCIENCE OR SPIRITUALITY?Contrary to some people’s opinions there is no conflict between science and spirituality. The two happily work hand in hand, in fact it’s just about impossible to say where one starts and the other ends. The techniques we have developed for this inclusive and interactive workshop are based on a mixture of well established NLP knowledge and practices. We use these to create behaviour patterns which still the mind and prevent the build up of stress and worry. Most religions and belief systems say that all you need to do is allow God into your heart, connect to your Higher Self, to the Universe or something similar. Most of them also suggest some form of meditation or prayer in order to do so. The purpose of that meditation or prayer is precisely to still the mind. Nature abhors a vacuum, stop the destructive activities of the mind and God/the Universe/your Higher Self will fill the space. It’s almost as simple as that.
